Wild, but not actually

Why Aquila?

This is Appin (new) Light: famously painted the previous light became a Mr Blobby with pink spots. This week had some very big winds and seas in some forecasts but sound planning and timings ensured we had some good sailing even though the winds were close to gale 8 at times. The crew came from far and wide, Aberdeenshire to Bristol. Our route took us south round Jura and into the Sound of Mull and Loch Linnhe. Several day skippers emerged, very happy with the week of contrasts, fog to bright sun and lots of sail changes.
